VISION
The PAX CHRISTI INSTITUTE serves the vision statement of Pax Christi Pilipinas:
A proactive, nonviolent, responsive, and creative life affirming movement that reconciles and nurtures relationships and communities

MISSION
The PAX CHRISTI INSTITUTE is an educational establishment for peace education, crisis intervention, conflict and reconciliation studies and research. The goal is the achievement of critical, constructive and creative minds that want to face the challenges of violence and destruction as architects of a just peace and reconciliation. Therefore, the PAX CHRISTI INSTITUTE offers formal and non-formal courses for various professional and academic levels of higher learning.

LOGO (SEAL)
The logo of the PAX CHRISTI INSTITUTE is a stylized illustration by the Negrense artist Rodesa Jayawon of the sculpture ‘Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares’ by the Russian artist Evgeniy Vuchetich (1957).

The sculpture is placed in the United Nations garden in New York. The plowshare symbolizes creative tools that benefit mankind, as opposed to destructive tools of war, symbolized by the sword, a similar sharp metal tool with an arguably opposite use.

Its biblical origins: They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Isaiah 2:4 & Micah 4:3.
